Dr. Jennifer Crouch is an art-science practitioner working in sculpture, textiles, drawing, installation and painting. They have a background in physics and medical illustration and experience working as an artist in scientific laboratories, on expeditions in the Arctic Circle, with communities, and as part of local and international art projects.
Jennifer has guest lectured at universities across the UK and Europe, teaches textile arts at Morley College London, is fashion lead at NewVic FE College, and is an associate lecturer on the MA in Art and Science at Central Saint Martins, London.
They have published books on popular science and anatomical art.
Jennifer is a queer slug and keen gardener interested in liminality, queer feminist science studies, LBGTQ culture & experiences, textiles, magic and the absurdity of the cosmos.

2015 The Magic Calendar Drawings
Created over a year, The Magic Calendar is a collection of drawings exploring science, magic and ritual throughout the year. These illustrations were based on
scientific discoveries and mathematical developments (such as the inventon of the square root sign) and how such development changed how mathematical processes were thought about, communicated and expressed.
2010 The Infinite Landscape
The infinite landscape is a series of 11 drawings that connect to each other in any order. Each image shows part of a landscape, and when all the images are lined up they form a wider horizon of mountains, holes, valleys, clouds, rock formations and cliffs. It is possible to create multiple combinations of landscapes. I wanted to create a playful and interactive drawing that was underpinned by the possiblities of multiple numerical combinations and orderings.
